Do all kids destroy crap?

Life with Lyric as a baby was easy for the most part. Adding Gael to the mix when Lyric was 3 1/2 really stirred things up. I dont know if it's because they're boys or because of the ages  or because of Gael's personality.  But I really feel like every day I'm finding something new that's been broken, destroyed, smashed, cracked, Colored on, in the toilet or whatever else u can do.

My husband and I refuse to buy new.things and I actually don't enjoy buying them new toys for This very reason.
Seriously. .
from the white leather sofa being used as my boys' new Art project or the wood floors signed in permanent marker or a glass shelf shattering or a down comforter being ripped to shreds or finding my makeup all over little fingers and noses or not to mention my poor poor walls. a couch being ripped Up clothes thrown from the drawers, Mirrors broken, the Playstation having water poured on top
 Oh man...the list goes on.

I guess you are asking "where the hell were you?!" These things seem to happen when either they're supposed to be sleeping or in those 5 seconds I had to take to go pee Or maybe check on dinner. Ugh.

It really truly boggles my mind. Today I found such the urge and wrote my dad telling him how sorry I am if I ever acted this way as a child. And also thanked him for not killing me.

Life as a parent requires a ton of patience.  And sometimes I have to just look around at as Feathers fly through the fan and my children stand there looking like giant chickens and laugh. And then...laugh a little More And wipe the tears and grab a broom.
